During the Indspire National Gathering, November 20-22, 2024, Ozhaawashkwaa Animikii Bineshi Aki Onji Kinimaagae’ Inun was recognized for their commitments to Indigenous Education and Indigenous Land-based teaching and learning. Their work is collaborative and community-based, and recognition is shared with the Aki Centre Staff, Divisional and guest Elders, visiting Knowledge Keepers, the Superintendents Team (past and present), the Board of Trustees, SOSD Educators and Learners, and all who have believed in the vision that school can be a positive place of change, growth, and relationship building and re-building, as well as a pathway to Truth and Reconciliation.
